Briscad offers Lisp support, now I can use Burst to explode all attributes blocks, I love the layer search option, just type eq and all layers with eq will be shown, so fast. The refresh of screen I felt faster in Briscad.

The only doubt or concern I have is that if the autocad dynamic block will work in Briscad, but it all works in V22 except you cannot edit the autocad dynamic blocks. So you need to recreate those custom dynamic blocks like table and chairs etc to Briscad parametric block. After learning the basic parametric block in Briscad, I found it is a great way to make blocks, I found it is better than autocad dynamic blocks toy opinion, at least for my use is perfect.

I cannot accept Autocad LT excludes support Lisp which I really need to flatten some badly drawn plan from other consultants, I cannot use Burst command to explode the block if I want to retain the attributes values after exploding the blocks, it does not allow attributes data extraction, it is absolutely unacceptable, these command are badly needed for my 2D drafting.

I am switching after testing Briscad V22 for 2 weeks, it is actually better than autocad LT 2022

I am Autocad user for 25 years…. subscription average 500 cad per year vs Briscad Lt v22 for 800 cad perpetual license!!!! I have been paying thousands in the past year!

Thanks to Briscad starts to market in Canada.

I use it for simple designs as a single user. The commands, buttons are kind of the same, work exactly the same way. The UI is a bit behind modern standards, sometimes hard to find a button, but they are at the same location as they should be in aCad, so just need to look harder. I don’t do plotting, shared designs, references, big multi-user projects…etc, for me this is a perfect solution. ACad is something I can not afford. It is soo expensive for single users, who use only a fraction of its capability, so I needed another option. Tested out three Cad alternatives, and I found Bricscad the best for my purposes. I have the lite perpetual license. As for the 3D part, even in ACAD that is a nightmare, so I did not even bother, I use Rhino for my 3D works.
