Tree structure in Catia is much, really much better made than in SDW. Also Union Trim in Catia is very important if you do big plastic parts. Where is Union trim in SDW?

I found this comparison information between SolidWorks and CATIA V5 excellent and it gives tme a second opinion, so now I will attend at CATIA V5 training programme to upskill/retrain.

Is SOLIDWORKS harness a good conversion to a CATIA V5 environment ? Does CATIA V5 have to include a EHI , EHA ,EWR , ELB licenses to view a SOLIDWORKS harness ? (Excepting that the transposed harness from SW to CATIA will not be able to be changed or manipulated. I am sure the properties of the harness for both softwares will be unique .

In reply to Pankaj Yadav. I'd suggest seeing if you can achieve what you require with SolidWorks first. It's considered more user friendly than Catia so it won't have such a steep learning curve. If you're new to SolidWorks, check out our SolidWorks Tutorials
